At the risk of beating a dead horse, it is truly a pleasure to get to dig through all the music coming to the site. We have our old standards, and it seems I discover something every week from our new labels and artists. If the tracks on this list don’t start moving, I think it’s safe to assume that the rapture is right around the corner.
.
1. Transform (Marko Fürstenberg Remix) – Luke Hess – Echocord. I’m a sucker for starting off a mix nice and smooth, and does Transform ever get the job done. Good good and good.
.
2. Orchestra Man (Original Mix) – Embargaa – Dance N Dust Records. A slow hypnotizer. (My old pal Mr. JP Spellchecker informed me that hypnotizer is not a word. Apologies to the linguists in the crowd)
.
3. No More Worries (Dimitry Liss Remix) – Electroaspect – Frisky Records. A good track on Frisky, no. way… ![]()
.
4. Starlet Holes (Original Mix) – Zeyad – 4Clubrecords. Intension, the album from which Starlet Holes comes, is good start to finish. As your attorney, I advise you to check out the rest of it.
.
5. You (Original Mix) – Takashi Watanabe – Hypnotic Room. A real winner here. As I don’t put more than one release from a label in each list, I had to pick Wantabe’s You EP, but Echos EP made the short list and warrants investigation.
.
6. Robots Can Feel (Original Mix) – Esse – Futureaudio. A track called Robots Can Feel could have gone terribly wrong, but there’s just enough of a robotic vibe to give the track a fitting feel without crossing into Mr. Roboto territory.
.
7. Aube (Original Mix) – Ignoss – Harkee Records. Aube comes from the first release from both Ignoss and Harkee records to hit RV – a welcomed addition.
.
8. Taurine on Sunday (Original Mix) – Roland M. Dill – Trapez. Of the hundreds of tracks I heard preparing this list, Taurine was the first that I knew was going to make it. Great techy feel with something unique happening with the melodies.
.
9. Dr. Lupo (Piatto Remix) – Ace Ventura, Rocky – Echoes Records. The last two tracks on the list should make any techno lover happy. Goods…Delivered. DJs – play this record. Dancing will most assuredly ensue.
.
10. Sambit (Original Mix) – Patrique – Backs/ash. Techy funky glitchy goodness.
