he supports the livetronica genre. Most bands hate to have themselves categorized, but he doesnt care..kind of a relief.

PROPS TO THE DJ'S!

Duos yes--just saw Big Gigantic open for STS9. Good stuff. Wonder about their staying power, especially Pretty Lights--tours relentlessly but the shows are very similar one to the next so I wonder how the fans will react and if there will really be a solid consistent fan base. Great party no doubt though.

SHPONGLE! YEAH YEAH!
Neo tribalism, exactly what I thought and what I like about them. Very different experience.

Very interesting to hear how the creat/communicate on stage. Always wondered about that.

Shabalah eh!? Pill check?! hmmm..! I thought one of the things that was bad about Rothbury this year was the local-ish crowd that infiltrated the last 2 days of the festival with the weekend only and sunday only tickets (they only offered full festival tickets the first year) and were just ridiculously hammered, not even seeming to care about the festival going on, rather just wanting to get fucked up. Totally killed the community vibe.

Good interview bra.
