Nice tribute Eddie.

Michael Jackson was the the first truly global superstar, and while the Beatles and Elvis may have sold more records, they were never global stars the way MJ was. He was simultaneously at the top of every chart in North and South America, Asia, Europe, Africa, Australia.

I have been a fan since I first heard “I’ll Be There” back in the day and of the more than 100,000 records in my collection – “Rock With You” is in one of my all time top 5.

RIP Michael and thanks for moving me and so many others for so long.

Wow, I just looked around at some of the other Electronic Dance Music websites and Blogs. Out of the 15 I looked at, only 3, including you and us even mention anything about Michael Jackson today.

How sad.

He was the biggest name in entertainment and kept the world dancing for over 40 years, and hardly any mention in the dance music world.

Thanks for having some class.
