Back in 2006, I wrote about blog post featuring RV Customer Mix 002 from a cool Pittsburgh resident named Jeff Huber. Since writing that post, I’ve had the good fortune a getting to know Jeff. In fact, RV even worked with Jeff to throw a super cool event, which we called Vibe, in Pittsburgh.
Given my familiarity with Jeff’s situation, it’s really cool to be writing this post…Jeff started off as a DJ and customer of RV; now he’s also a producer and label co-manager with tracks in our store.
I think Jeff’s story is inspiring because it’s representative of the stories of so many other people in this industry. Jeff started off DJ-ing with a die-hard passion for the music, and he got the urge to take things to a new level. He was smitten with the desire to create his own music from scratch – i.e. to start producing – so that’s what he did. Like so many other aspiring edm artists, Jeff has a demanding day job, so he was banging on tracks in the afterhours…traveling for his day job and writing tracks in hotel rooms.
As Jeff cranked out tracks, he would send them over occasionally. Over time, I heard a progression in the quality of his tunes…now, he’s hooked up with a partner, named Lenny Sosa (Nlytn), and they’re releasing tunes for a recently formed label called Mixtill6 Records.
RV is now featuring Mixtill6’s content in our store. I’ve poked through their initial content deliveries, and their material is definitely worth checking out!

I should also say a bit more here about the history of Mixtill6…
In March of 2006, Jeff actually met his eventual label partner, Lenny, at an RV WMC party. The two stayed in touch and later realized they shared a common growing interest in producing. Not long after that, Lenny made the decision to start Mixtill6 Records as a conduit for his music and the music of other talented artists. Given their ongoing professional relationship, Jeff and Lenny decided to partner up, and they’ve been going strong ever since.
Since 2008, Mixtill6 has been hard at work, with 30 releases and a number of label firsts under their belt. Some of the firsts include a label remix compeition and the exclusive label promo mix below. In 2009, Mixtill6 has continued to make moves, signing a deal with Believe Distribution, a UK-based distribution company focused on promoting up-and-coming artists.

I’ve got another quality progressive mix for you…This one comes from an artist who seems to be quietly going about his business and putting out solid tunes. His name is Noyd, and he’s originally from Prizren (in Kosovo). He started getting into electronic music at age 14, and he eventually teamed up with an artist named Junitoshi to form a production duo called, “Vega.” Eventually the two went their separate ways, and Noyd got his first solo release, Shapeless, signed with the German progressive house label, Jetlag Digital, in 2008.
